Mary Archuleta, age 82, passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2020, surrounded by her family.
She was proceeded in death by her loving husband of 50 years of marriage, Manuel Archuleta Jr. She is survived by her cherished companion and dancing partner, Erasmo Garza; her daughters, Maxine Chavez, Margaret Krawic (Michael Palladino), Monica Archuleta (Joe Roberts); sons, Matthew (Wanda), Mark (Jennifer Allen); her grandchildren, Joseph, James, Veronica, Phillip, Emily (Chris Epley), Taylor, Sierra, Nicole, Devin and Curtis. She is also survived by her sister, Emily Moraga (Jerry); brothers, Arturo (Rosa), Gilbert (Nellie), Max (Linda), Raymond (Betty), Larry (Margaret); numerous godchildren, nephews and nieces and proceeded in death by her brother, Richard (Angie).
Mary was known family wide for her generosity and her delicious sweet rice and beans and chile. She was a devoted parishioner of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church for 60 years where she was involved with the Woman’s Guild, and numerous other organizations. Mary helped Erasmo with the St. Vincent DePaul Society and was involved with Our Lady of Guadalupe Society at Queen of Heaven. Mary also enjoyed creating beautiful ceramics, baking, dancing and praying the rosary. Mary will be missed by everyone who knew her.
Rosary to be recited Wednesday, July 22, 2020, 9:15 a.m. with mass to follow at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 4020 Lomas Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Pallbearers are James, Phillip and Veronica Archuleta, Nicole Krawic, Emily Epley and Sierra Williford. Honorary Pallbearer is Tyler Shelton.
Due to the current pandemic, we will have a celebratory gathering for Mary’s life in the future.
