IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Marvelle Elizabeth
Davis
August 27, 1931 – January 10, 2026
Marvelle Elizabeth Johnson Davis was born in Damascus, Arkansas on August 27, 1931, and went to heaven to be with her Lord on January 10, 2026. She was 94 years old. She grew up on a farm with five brothers and two sisters. She spent many hours milking cows and picking cotton, along with other chores at the farm. Her first job was at Westinghouse, followed by several years at the Federal Reserve Bank, both in Little Rock, AR. Marvelle was musically talented and played the piano and organ for many years at various churches she attended. She was also a fantastic cook and seamstress. She married Coy Albert Davis on November 19, 1960. In 1965 they moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico for a job opportunity, and spent the rest of their married life there. Marvelle survived the death of her husband in 2008. She also survived all her siblings. She is survived by her three children: Machelle Karler (Ed), and their sons Casey and Coy; Wayne Davis, and John Davis. She is also survived by her stepdaughter, Kathy Wylie (Joe), and their extended families, in addition to many nieces and nephews who loved her. Marvelle was a woman of deep faith in God, and spent her life in service to Him and her family. The world was a better place because she was in it. She spent her final days surrounded by family and those who loved her.
"Yes, we are fully confident, and we would rather be away from these earthly bodies, for then we will be at home with the Lord."
2 Corinthians 5:8
