Martin Spencer Dike

Martin Spencer Dike, son of Sheldon and Margaret Dike, was born July 29, 1956, and passed away September 10, 2026, at the age of 70. He is survived by his daughters, Jennifer and Lindsay; his son, Travis; his brothers, Lawrence, Walter, and Robert; his sister, Martha; along with two grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews both grand and otherwise.

A lifelong mechanic by trade, Marty was a natural tinkerer, an avid reader, and a builder and fixer of just about anything. A jack-of-all-trades yes, but a master of more than a few, he possessed an enduring curiosity and a knack for figuring out how things worked. Whether he had a book in his hands or a project in front of him, there was always something new to learn, build, or repair.

A memorial service and reception will be held Friday, October 30, 2026, 10:00 a.m., at Central United Methodist Church, 201 University Blvd. NE.
