In Loving Memory of Marques Bush

November 19, 2006 - October 10, 2026

With unimaginable heartbreak, we announce the passing of our beloved Marques Bush, who was taken from us far too soon on October 10, 2026, at just 19 years old.

Born on November 19, 2006, Marques was so much more than the years he was given. He was a beloved son, brother, grandson, teammate, and friend whose presence left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Marques had a personality that was impossible to forget. He was funny, sarcastic, quick-witted, and always ready with something to say. He loved to joke, argue just for the sake of winning, and make people laugh. He had a way of lighting up a room without even trying. And underneath all that sarcasm and playful attitude was the biggest heart.

He loved his family and friends deeply. Marques was the kind of person who checked on others, encouraged the people around him, and made sure those he cared about knew they mattered. He had a way of making people feel seen, supported, and loved, often putting the feelings and needs of others before his own. His friendships were genuine, and the bonds he built throughout his life meant everything to him.

Basketball was one of Marques' passions. Whether he was on the court with his teammates or spending time with friends, he brought his competitive spirit, humor, and energy into everything he did. He loved the game, the friendships, and the memories that came with it.

Marques also had a deep love for music. He was always surprising his family with just how many songs he knew, often leaving everyone wondering how he even knew them all. His love for music was just another part of what made him so uniquely Marques. Whether he was listening, singing along, or randomly knowing every word to a song nobody expected him to know, he always found a way to make us smile.

Faith was also an important part of Marques' life. He had a love for God and a heart that reflected kindness, compassion, and a genuine concern for others. Through his involvement in church and the friendships he built along the way, Marques continued to grow in his faith. Some of the most meaningful things his family has learned since his passing have come from friends sharing how he spoke about God, encouraged others, and tried to make a positive difference in their lives. Knowing that his faith touched others brings comfort to those who love him and serves as another reminder of the remarkable young man he was becoming.

Marques had dreams, ambitions, and an entire future ahead of him. At just 19 years old, he had already touched more lives than he could have ever imagined. The overwhelming love shown by his friends, teammates, family, and community is a testament to the young man he was and the impact he made. He encouraged others to believe in themselves, pushed his friends to do better, and left people with memories they will carry for the rest of their lives.

To those who knew and loved him, Marques was so much more than words could ever describe. He was a source of endless laughter, unforgettable memories, and a love that can never be replaced. From his sarcastic remarks and playful arguments to his thoughtful gestures and loving heart, every part of him will be deeply missed. His absence leaves a space that nothing in this world could ever fill.

Marques leaves behind his loving parents, Nicole and Dion Bush; his siblings, Leanna, Tyler, and Damerion; his grandparents; and many other family members, friends, and loved ones who will forever cherish his memory.

Although his life was tragically cut short, Marques' story does not end here. It lives on in every memory shared, every song that brings him to mind, every laugh inspired by something he would have said, every friendship he helped shape, and every life he touched.

Nineteen years was nowhere near enough, but the love Marques gave and the impact he made will last a lifetime.

Marques, you were loved beyond measure, you are missed beyond words, and you will forever be a part of us.

Rest peacefully, our sweet boy. Until we see you again. 💙
