Marlene Roberta Skeans, 89, daughter of Robert and Ruby Napier, went to be with our Lord and savior, on September 23, 2026 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She was born in Dayton, Ohio on January 3, 1932. She had lived in Chateauroux, France, Dayton, Ohio, Tripoli, Libya, Atwater, California, Porterville, California and Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

She Loved Jesus first, her late husband Edward Lee Skeans second , and her family third. She also had a love for people, especially children, and the underserved. Marlene served her church and community with Samaritan’s Purse, Angel tree, cooking holiday dinners for the homeless, serving meals at shelters and cassette tape ministry ay Hoffmantown Baptist Church.

Marlene is the loving and cherished mother of Chris Skeans of Palm Coast, Linda Castaneda of Edgewood and Rene Rodriguez of Albuquerque.

She is survived by her grand children Alyssa Wise, Austin Skeans, Aleesha Homza, Paul Castaneda, Kevin Darrel and Michael Rodriguez

Marlene has 9 great grandchildren including Ian Wise, Adam Wise, Claire Homza, Akai Rodriguez, Ashton Castaneda, Rylee Darrel, Atticus Darrel, Isaiah , and Alexandra.

She had six brothers and five sisters. David, Dorsey, Gary, John, Bob, Don and Dorthy, Joan, Linda, Anita, and Janice.

 A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 6, 2026 at 1:30pm - French Funerals Lomas Chapel with the funeral service to follow at 2:00pm.
