Mark Ethier

Mark Emmons Ethier passed away unexpectedly in his sleep on October 8, 2024. He was born on September 20, 1945 in Wakefield MI to Donald and Eileen (Laakso) Ethier. He served in the US Air Force from 1965 to 1971 before graduating from University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point with a Masters in Audiology.

Mark believed in people and was always looking for ways to help those who needed it. He was a photography enthusiast,a gun collector and builder, and avid target shooter who greatly enjoyed his Thursday outings with friends. Dogs always held a special place in his life.

Mark was preceded in death by his brother Paul Ethier. He is survived by his partner of 20 years, Mary Stiles; four children: Hillery Koontz (Patrick), Nicholas Ethier (Sandie), Brian Ethier (Julia) and Sarah Smothermon; eight grandchildren: Ben and Isaac Koontz, Collin, Jack, and Blake Ethier, Caleb, Kinsley, and Kylee Smothermon, siblings: Clio Morris,Pierce Ethier and Yvonne Brown and his beloved dogs, Belle and Beau.
