Marilyn K. Peake
Marilyn K. Peake, age 89, passed away February 27, 2026, in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. Marilyn was born on February 4, 1937, in Pine Bluffs, Wyoming, to Carl and Mabel Stoneburg. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Colonel Erwin C. Peake. She is also survived by her children, Andrew and Janine; 8 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Lisa, and her parents.
Marilyn was a mother who energetically involved herself in lovingly raising her children and supporting her grandchildren. She always willingly volunteered to help with tasks or projects that benefited her family.
After Erwin's retirement, Marilyn and Erwin traveled throughout the country, visiting all but one state, North Dakota. They joined an RV club, and Marilyn became very involved in its many activities at both the local and national levels.
Serving as a Deacon in the Presbyterian Church, she aided in its mission to minister to those in need, to the sick, to the friendless, and those in distress.
Erwin lovingly writes about Marilyn, "Loving you changed my life. Losing you did the same." You'll be missed, loved, and remembered forever.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2026, a 10:00 a.m., at FRENCH - Westside. Placement at Santa National Cemetery will follow on Thursday March 19, 2026, at 2:00 p.m.
