Marie Estelle "Laurette" Knight

Marie "Laurette" Estelle Knight left this world June 10, 2015 to be with Jesus and loved ones who preceded her in death. She was 86 years old, born in Barre, VT and a resident of Albuquerque since 1952. She spent her career as a Registered Nurse and worked at the VA Hospital where she met and married her husband "Bob Knight" with whom she was married to for 55 years prior to his passing in 2007. She was mother to son Michael Knight who passed in 1995, son Patrick Knight (and wife Lauris Knight) and daughter Ann Knight; grandmother to William Knight (and wife Elizabeth) Andrew Knight and (and wife Juli); great-grandmother to two - Jillian and Sara - with her 3rd great-granddaughter Elliana expected any day now. Most important thing in this life next to being a Christian was her family. She adored them all and had a special bond with each one. She loved to cook and showed her love though fixing meals. This carried over to her volunteer work with her church and cooking for the homeless. We love you very much. You were the best Mom, Grandma, and great-grandma - you will be greatly missed. Friends and family are invited to a Rosary on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. at FRENCH - Wyoming. The Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 12500 Carmel Ave NE, with a reception to follow.
