Maria Rodriguez

Our beloved Maria Elvira Rodriguez went home to dance on the streets of heaven on May 29, 2024. She was born on March 20, 1940, in Puerta De Luna, New Mexico.

Above all, Maria's life was defined by sharing her great kindness, devotion to her husband, Jose Angel Rodriguez, and her family and friends, along with her great joy in Jesus Christ.

Maria was preceded in death by her father, Merenciano Salazar and brother Marcy Salazar. She is survived by her loving husband, Jose Angel Rodriguez; her mother, Maria Salazar; sisters, Stella Noriega, Martha Cruz, Barbara Ruiz Salazar; and brother, Pedro Salazar; her beloved children, Dolly and husband, Rick Otero, Jeannie Sanchez, Tony and wife, Doris Sanchez, Ralph and wife, Laura Sanchez; stepson, Jose Angel Rodriguez, Jr., and 6 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

To celebrate the life of Maria a visitation will be held on Monday June 10, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 10:50 a.m. Funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m., at Journey City Church, 300 Menaul Blvd. NW Market Place - Albuquerque, NM 87107. Graveside Service will immediately follow at Fairview Cemetery, and reception will follow the cemetery at Journey City Church.
