Maria Guadalupe Medina-Quinonez

August 24, 1964 — August 30, 2023

Lupe Medina, 59, beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and niece, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, August 30, 2023. She was born on Monday, August 24, 1964 in Durango, Mexico, to Socorro and Juvencio Medina. Lupe was a very kind and innocent soul, she found joy in everything she did. She loved to listen to her favorite music, dance, color pictures, and spend time with her family. Lupe graduated from Manzano High School from the special education program and was very proud of this accomplishment, so much so that she asked for and received a graduation ring to commemorate her achievement. She was also very proud of having played the drums and remembered this fondly. Her laugh and smile were so contagious, you couldn't help but feel happy in her presence. She was always so excited to see those she loved, and she had a gift for bringing joy to anyone she encountered.  Lupe will be remembered as a pure, kind-hearted, and loving woman. Lupe was truly an angel sent from God, and she will be greatly missed by her family.

Lupe is preceded in death by her mother, Socorro Medina; her grandparents, Consuelo and Guillermo Medina, and Jose Quinones and Teresa Aranda. She is survived by her father, Juvencio Medina; sisters, Yolanda (Jose) Montoya, Angelica Medina, Consuelo Medina, and Elizabeth (Eliezer Olivas) Medina; brothers, Roberto (Nancy) Medina and Guillermo Medina; nieces, Yvette (Julian) Montoya, Veronica Tafoya, Victoria (Kendra) Trujillo, Arianna Medina, and Jasmine Medina; nephews, Joseph Montoya, Jacob and Eli Olivas, Julian Sanchez, Roberto Terrazas, Andres, Angel, Daniel, and Juan Carlos Medina; and her aunts, uncles, and cousins.
