Margaret Anne Teter Harrington died in her home on March 15, 2018, in Albuquerque, NM. She was born in 1956 to Ivan and Mildred Teter. Margaret was an Albuquerque native and met her husband of 35 years, Don Harrington, while attending the University of New Mexico. She was a wonderful mother, and the joy of her life was raising their three daughters in Boulder, CO; Spokane, WA; and Albuquerque. Once her children were grown, she used her analytical and organizational skills working at the UNM School of Law. Throughout her life, she demonstrated a thirst for knowledge and research that reached every corner. People were struck by her intelligence, curiosity, and elegance. As a loyal and compassionate friend to many, she had a gift for hospitality that made others feel valued and loved. She spoke life, truth, grace, hope, and love into the lives of strangers and friends. Few people live for the glory of God's presence as Margaret did, and she lived her life looking forward to the joys and peace of heaven. Her faith in Jesus was paramount and in that we take solace. But oh, what a loss.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers John Teter and Bill Teter, and her granddaughter Isabella Biersgreen. She is survived by her husband, Don Harrington; her children and their spouses, Elizabeth and Arlen Biersgreen, Laura Harrington and Xinglei Shen, and Deborah Harrington; and her granddaughter Audra Shen. She will be dearly missed by her family and many friends, which is in itself a measure of a life well lived.
