Margaret H. Brooks

Margaret H. Brooks lived a long and wonderful life to the age of 95, when she was called to the Lord on July 20, 2018.  She was born in Bernalillo, NM, to Epitacio and Martina Hernandez. Her family moved to Albuquerque where she graduated from Albuquerque High School. Shortly after graduation, she worked for the U.S. Corp of Engineers. After raising her children, she went back to work and retired from The University of New Mexico. Margaret was preceded in death by two of her sons, Phillip and Randall. Margaret is survived by her daughter, Marita; son, Brian (Laverne); daughter in-laws, Debee (Phillip) and Annette (Randall). She is also survived by her grandchildren, Harrison, Amanda, Colton and great granddaughter, Margarita along with several nieces and nephews.

We would like to thank four exceptional women who were her caregivers for many years: Lesli, Suzanne, Loyce and Kathleen.

A visitation will be held Thursday, July, 26, 2018 at 6:00 p.m., with the Rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m., at FRENCH – Westside. Mass will be celebrated Friday, July 27, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, 5712 Paradise Blvd NW, Albuquerque, NM 87114.

The family requests donations to be made to St. Therese Catholic School, 311 Shropshire Pl NW, Albuquerque, NM 87107.
