Maggie Garcia

April 19, 1951 — April 27, 2025

Maggie Garcia passed away into into the arms of our Heavenly Father on Sunday, April 27, 2025 at Rust Medical Center due to lung disease. Maggie was preceded in death by her parents, Juan Pedro Alires and Josefa Angelina Alires, and brother, Edward Alires. Father and mother in law, Rafael and Dulcinia Garcia, sister in law, Lucinda Padilla, brother in law, Edward Garcia. Maggie is survived by her husband, Ambrosio Ralph Garcia, son, Vincent Garcia, sisters, Angie Cordova, Susan Arnold(Clavis), brothers, Danny Gracia(Rita), Paul Alires(Sally), Joe Alires(Julie), brother in law Ernest Garcia and many relatives. Maggie was born on April 19, 1951 in Clovis N.M. She spent her younger years in Clovis, going to school, spending summers swimming at potters pool, going to movies, working in the fields and visiting relatives. After graduating from Clovis High Scchool, she moved to Albuquerque N.M. where she attended classes at TVI. Maggie dated Ralph Garcia and moved in together. Maggie gave birth to her son, Vincent on March 14, 1972. Maggie loved her son very much and was a wonderful mother. Ralph and Maggie were married in a civil ceremony on June 16, 1975 and renewed their vows on February 14, 2006 at Our Lady of The Most Holy Rosary, Albq. N.M. Maggie was employed by APS and enjoyed her job. During all her duties as a mother and wife, she took care of her parents and nephew Paul, all necessities, appointments, etc. She was very devoted to her mother and father. Maggie had many medical issues, but through them all, she did what she had to do to care for her family. In her later years as her medical issues mounted and pain worsened, she wanted to be alone with her husband and son. Her family understood and respected her wishes. Maggie loved her family very much. It's by her faith that she's with the Heavenly Father. Pall bearers, Rebecca Eichem and Kathy Padilla Tenorio. 

A Rosary will be recited on Friday, May 23, 2025 - Queen of Heaven Parish at 9:30am, with a Funeral Mass to follow. A Graveside service will be held on Friday, May 30, 2025 - Santa Fe National Cemetery at 2:00pm
