Mabel Martinez

In loving memory of Mabel Martinez, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and nana, who went to be with our Lord on June 18th, 2026, at the age of 91.

Mabel was born in Chilili, NM on April 23, 1935, and grew up with five brothers and four sisters.

Mabel was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frank of 65 years; sons, David and Larry; and daughter, Ernestine. She is survived by daughter, Diane Garcia (David), brothers, Nestor Torres and Robert Torres (Jackie); sister, Stephanie Griego; grandson, Michael Martinez (Melissa Ulibarri); granddaughters, Monica Martinez and Natalie Tavitas (Tony); and great-grandchildren, Justen Martinez, Alexa Padilla, and Jayd Padilla.

Mabel worked for APS for 27 years and was a Eucharistic minister at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Church for many years. She enjoyed bingo, spending time at casinos as well as traveling with her family. She loved music and had a beautiful singing voice! She was a social butterfly who enjoyed meeting new people.

Mabel was much loved by her family and will be greatly missed by all who knew her, but her spirit and remembrance of her beautiful smile will live on in the many lives she touched.

A Rosary will be recited Tuesday, July 28, 2026, 10:15 a.m. with Mass to follow at 11:00 a.m., at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Community, 5415 Fortuna Rd. NW.
