Lynn Gentry-Wood, 61, lost her battle to cancer on April 30, 2017.
Lynn is survived by two children, Brandi Rosales and Bobby Rosales and wife, Jolene; her mother, Flossie Gentry; sister, Danise Williams and husband, Barry; two nieces, Mariah Warwick and husband, Owen and Montana Williams; her best friend, Michael Jaffa and wife, Kris; and many other family and friends including her beloved dog, Jazz and cat, Tiff.
Lynn worked for PNM for 30 years before retiring and then found her passion in a second career serving as executive director at DVRC New Mexico for 8 years. She was a strong advocate for all those who sought assistance or needed help. Throughout both careers, Lynn was dedicated to helping others through organizations such as United Way, Make A Wish Foundation and Volunteer Fire Fighters. She was an avid photographer and traveler and especially found solace in New York City, leaving a bit of her heart in Manhattan.
A Celebration of Lynn’s Life will be Wednesday, May 3, 2017, 1:00 p.m. at FRENCH - Lomas. In lieu of flowers, her family requests memorial contributions be made in Lynn’s name to DVRC Inc, 625 Silver Ave SW, Sutie 185, Albuquerque, NM 87102.
