Lyn Ann Carhart

Lyn Ann Carhart, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, passed away peacefully in Albuquerque, New Mexico, leaving behind a legacy of love and artistry that will be treasured by all who knew her. Born in Charlotte, Eaton County, Michigan, Lyn's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with the threads of family, creativity, and deep connection to her faith.

Lyn's greatest passion was her family-her heart danced to the melody of their laughter and joy. She was unwavering in the love she provided to her children: Mike Head, his wife Debbie, Scott Head and Tresa Lyn (Head) Osborne, and her husband Terry. She was also the proud grandmother of three grandsons, Wayne, Jason, and Bryan, whose lives she cherished deeply. Her brother Dennis Roberts, his family, sister Karen Roberts and her family, were never far from her heart. Lyn's dedication to family was reflected in her thoughtful acts, always sending greeting cards for birthdays and every holiday in between, a tangible reminder of her love.

Her love shone through in her crocheted beautiful afghans great chocolate chip cookies and her renowned red enchilada sauce, which graced many family gatherings. Her love for ice cream and margaritas was fun to share and were always a welcome treat. She enjoyed walking along the Rio Grande to collect river stones.

In her earlier years, Lyn served as the President of the garden club both in Albuquerque and Tucumcari, nurturing the beauty of nature and cultivating friendships within her community. Professionally, she made her mark as an Executive Secretary, dedicating many years to Tucumcari and Albuquerque Public Schools, where her hard work supported the education of countless children. Lyn's commitment to excellence was evident in every role she embraced, including her tenure at Powder River in Provo, Utah.

Artistry flowed through her soul, manifesting in her enchanting hand-crafted crosses made from weathered wood, adorned with turquoise and other unique embellishments. Alongside her husband, Patrick, she traveled to art shows, sharing her creations and her heart.

Throughout her life, Lyn showed remarkable resilience. She graciously supported her beloved husbands, first Chuck Head, the father of her children, and later, John and Patrick, providing them strength until their passing.

Her courageous five-year battle for independence against dementia showcased her grace and dignity, an embodiment of the love she radiated to everyone around her.

Lyn's presence will be profoundly missed, yet her spirit will forever resonate in the hearts she touched. She will be remembered for her remarkable ability to love fiercely, nurture her family, and inspire all who had the honor of knowing her. Her journey continues in the hearts she touched and the mountains will always echo her song.

Lyn was preceded in death by: Patrick Carhart, Charles Scott Head, John Oldroyd, Chuck Head, Doreen Roberts and Gerald Roberts.
