Luz Adia Romero, 95, of Albuquerque, passed away on April 21, 2026. On December 9, 1930, she was born to Jacobo and Amelia Barela in Palo Blanco. Luz Adia married Ferdinando Romero in 1950.
She received her high school diploma from TVI in 1988 and retired as an accountant from APS after 50 years of service. Luz Adia was an avid shopper, a devoted catholic, and a loving mother and wife.
Luz Adia is survived by her son, Larry Romero and his wife, Pearlina of Albuquerque. She was preceded in death by parents; as well as her husband, Ferdinando Romero; and her son, Sammy Romero.
A Rosary will be recited Monday, May 4, 2026, 10:00 a.m., at FRENCH - University. Graveside service will follow at 1:30 p.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
