Luvina Joy McGuire

Luvina Joy McGuire, aged 90, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away peacefully from natural causes on October 23, 2026. Born on June 25, 1936, on a ranch in southern New Mexico, Luvina dedicated her life to serving others, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew her.

Luvina will be remembered for her deep love of the Lord and her unwavering devotion to her family. She cherished the time spent with her daughters, Terri Stanford, Deborah McGuire, and Kari Gromatzky, as well as her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family. Countless memories filled with laughter and joy are cherished by those she leaves behind. Her kind spirit and selfless nature touched the lives of many, as she consistently sought to help those in need. Luvina also enjoyed hiking, fishing, and sewing where she excelled at quilt making.

Memorial services will be held on November 9, 2026, starting with a funeral service at 10:30 AM, followed by a reception at Bosque Farms Church of Christ. Luvina's legacy of love, compassion, and faith will continue to inspire her family and friends as they gather to celebrate her life.

Luvina was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years Mac "Tuffy" McGuire, her father Emsley (Fuss) Joy, her mother Winnie VanWinkle, her sister Delma Widner, and her brother Tom Joy.

She is survived by her daughters Terri Stanford (Dwain), Deborah McGuire, Kari Gromatzky, her brother Bill Joy, grandchildren Randi Lynne Sanchez (Matthew), Travis Stanford (Rebekah), Jacob Corbin, Jared Corbin (Mandi) as well as nine great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Honorary pallbearers are Jacob Corbin, Jared Corbin, Randi Sanchez, Matthew Sanchez, Rylee Sanchez, Travis Stanford.
