Lucina S. Garcia, age 85, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, went home to the Lord on Thursday, February 11, 2016.
Lucina is survived by her daughter, Debbie Radcliffe (Tom); son, Pablo Garcia, Jr. (Bridget); four grandchildren, Tomas Radcliffe (Erin), Elena Ruiz (Carlos), Elisa Radcliffe (Angelina) and Kara V. Garcia; four great-grandchildren, Adya and Maeve Radcliffe, Diego and Marisa Ruiz; her brother, Herman S. Aragon; sister, Josephine Aragon; and numerous extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Pablo Garcia; her parents, Ignacio and Otila Aragon; and brother, I. E. Aragon II.
Born and raised in the Santa Barbara neighborhood of Martineztown, Lucina was a proud graduate of Harwood Girls' School. She was an active, life-long member of El Buen Samaritano United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir and belonged to the United Methodist Women's Association. Lucina was a seamstress at American Furniture Co. for 40 years.
Memorial services will be Friday, February 19, 2016, 10:00 a.m., at El Buen Samaritano UMC, 7th and Granite NW. Ennichement will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE.
The family would like to thank the staff of Casa de Rosa for their outstanding care of Lucina. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to El Buen Samaritano UMC.
