Louise T Callihan, 91, passed away on November 17, 2018 in Henderson, NV. Louise was born August 3, 1927 to A. C. and Margarita Torres in Socorro, NM. As a young woman Louise met and married her husband Gene Callihan in Socorro. Gene’s Army career took them to Fort Bliss, TX, Fort Polk, Louisiana, Fort Devons Massachusetts, and Fort Lewis, Washington before retiring to Albuquerque in 1971. Louise is preceded in death by her brothers, Jesus Torres, Anastacio T. Torres; her sisters, Julia Armijo, Miquela Sisneros, Anne Turpin, Isabel Torres; and her husband, Gene Callihan. She is survived by her son, Michael G. Callihan, daughter-in-law, Laura A. Callihan; granddaughters, Amanda and Shannon Callihan; and numerous beloved nieces and nephews. A Rosary will be recited on Friday, November 30, 2018, 10:00 a.m. at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 833 Arizona St SE, Albuquerque, NM 87108. Funeral Mass will be celebrated immediately following the rosary at 10:30 AM. Interment will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:30 PM. Arrangements are under the care of FRENCH- University.
