Lorraine L. Ambrose

Lorraine L. Ambrose (nee Lenicheck), age 98, beloved mother and wife, passed away in Albuquerque, NM on Sunday, June 4, 2023.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Bena; father, Allen Sr.; brother, Allen; and husband of 56 years, Howard. Lorraine is survived by her children, Richard, Janice, Diane, and Robert, six grandchildren, eight great- grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Lorraine arrived as a child in Albuquerque in 1936 from Chicago, graduated from Albuquerque High School in 1941, married in 1947, and resided in the same home in the North Valley of the City for 74 years. Lorraine was a vivacious personality, always enjoyed social events with family and friends, and never met a stranger. She will be sorely missed.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, 10:00 a.m., FRENCH – University.

Funeral Service will be on Wednesday, June 21, 2023, 10:00 a.m., FRENCH – University, with a burial to follow at 2:00 p.m., at the Santa Fe National Cemetery in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
