Lois Rosenthal

Lois Rosenthal passed away peacefully in her sleep on Aug. 18, 2025, in Rio Rancho at the age of 95.

Born in Buffalo, New York on Oct. 21, 1929, Lois married her husband, Fred, on Jan. 27, 1951. Together, they raised three children and moved to Philadelphia, Chicago, and Houston before retiring in Albuquerque.

Lois loved the adventures that came with moving to new cities, exploring various neighborhoods, and meeting new people she could invite to parties. She became an avid golfer while in Houston and enjoyed volunteering at different golf tournaments in the metro area. In addition to her love of golf. Lois followed the Houston Astros and found peace while working in her garden.

Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Fred. She is survived by their three children: Pat (Tom) Holtaway of Rio Rancho, New Mexico; Debbie (Ed) Bellinder of Naperville, Illinois; and Neil (Cindy) Rosenthal of Riverside, Texas.

She was an amazing grandma to six wonderful grandchildren (Heather and Shawn; Ed and Brian; and Rachel and Ashley), and Lois simply adored her 14 great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the caregivers at Life Spire Assisted Living and High Desert Hospice.

Pending arrangements, a memorial service for family and close friends will take place in the future.
