Linda Kinane, 73, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away on January 29, 2026. Linda was born on July 13, 1952, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, to Clarence and Louise Carrell. She grew up in Albuquerque, where she developed a lifelong love of learning, faith, and service to others-values that would guide her throughout her life.
Linda attended Del Norte High School and later the University of New Mexico, where she earned both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Education. She devoted 42 years to education, serving as a Teacher and Instructional Coach. Linda was deeply committed to students and teachers alike and was known for her passion for learning, growth, and encouragement. Her influence extended far beyond the classroom, shaping countless lives through her wisdom, patience, and care.
Linda was a devoted mother, "Dede" (grandmother), and friend. She was a proud mother to Kimberley Braithwaite and Ryan Kinane. Her greatest joy was being "Dede" to her five beloved grandchildren: Perry, Wilson, Millie Claire, Bobbie Blythe, and Luke. She cherished time with her family and created a legacy of love, faith, and support that will live on through them.
Linda loved God and was a committed believer in Christ. She faithfully served and supported Young Life, Grace Church, and Women of Vision, finding great purpose in her faith and community. She was also an avid scrapbooker and card maker. Each scrapbook and handmade card reflected her creativity, commitment, and the care she put into celebrating the lives of those she loved.
Linda is survived by her children, Kimberley Braithwaite and Ryan Kinane; and her grandchildren, Perry Kinane (17), Wilson Kinane (14), Millie Claire Kinane (12), Bobbie Blythe Kinane (10), and Luke Braithwaite (8). She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Louise Carrell.
A celebration of Linda's life will be held on March 21st at 1:00 PM at Grace Church (6901 San Antonio Dr NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109). Linda's life was marked by faith, service, creativity, and deep love for her family, students and teachers. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
