Linda Key, 68, passed away peacefully on June 25, 2026. She was born on November 2, 1957, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and later made her home in Rio Rancho, New Mexico.
Linda was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend whose love and generosity touched everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Andrew J. Key III; her beloved aunt and godmother, Elanor Villanueva; son, Daniel Saiz and his beloved wife, Tina; her daughter, Jennifer Key; her siblings, Rachel Fernandez, Anna Gustafson, and R.C. Jiminez; her cherished grandchildren, Johnny, Larissa, Andrew, and Trent; her beloved great-grandchild, Santiago, who brought immeasurable joy to her life; as well as many loving cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Soledad "Sally" Jiminez; her adoptive father, Frank Jiminez; and her brothers, Bobby, Danny, Gerald, William, Timothy, and Randy.
In her younger years, Linda found joy in playing a good game of softball with a team full of family. Later in life she loved bowling, tending her garden, traveling, trying her luck at the casino, working crossword puzzles and other brain teasers, playing games on her tablet, listening to her favorite 70's soul music, and relaxing while watching Wheel of Fortune, Tracker, and the Chicago franchise shows. Above all else, she treasured every moment spent with her family and loved ones, creating memories that will be cherished forever.
Those who knew Linda will remember her as a loving, caring, selfless, stubborn, and incredibly strong-willed woman. She faced life's challenges with courage and determination, always putting the needs of others before her own. Her strength, compassion, generosity, and unwavering love left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Although our hearts are heavy with her loss, we find comfort in knowing that her love, wisdom, and beautiful spirit will continue to live on through the family she cherished and the countless lives she touched. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, resilience, and unconditional love that will never be forgotten.
May she rest in eternal peace, forever loved and forever remembered.
