Lillian Baca

Lillian Baca was a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and a fierce prayer warrior.

When Lillian Eloisa Montoya was born on December 6, 1938, in Ault, Colorado, her father, Florencio, was 27, and her mother, Isabell, was 25. Lillian worked as a homemaker and served as kitchen manager for Santa Fe High School and NM Corrections Department.

Lillian is preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Bob "Baudino"Baca, her parents Florencio and Isabel Montoya, brothers Florencio Montoya Jr., Gerald Montoya, her sister Polly Goni.

She is survived by her five children and their spouses, sons, Abie & Irene Baca, Paul & Cathy Baca, Bob Jr & Esther Baca. Their daughters Susan Baca and Shirley Cordova and Vanessa and Bernard Rogers, her siblings Daniel Montoya and Beatrice Valdez, her eight (8) grandchildren, ten (10) great-grandchildren when she died on December 29, 2023, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, at the age of 85 years old.

The Celebration of Life for Lillian will be held on Thursday, January 11th, 2024. Viewing will begin at 3:30pm with services starting promptly at 4:00 pm and will be held at GRIP Church located at 4616 2nd St NW Albuquerque, NM 87107.

Burial Services will be held on Friday, January 12th, 2024 at 9:30 am at the Santa Fe National Cemetery located at 501 N. Guadalupe St. Santa Fe, New Mexico (Gazebo at the Top of the Hill). If you would like to follow the hearse by 8:00 am at French Mortuary 9300 Golf Course Rd NW, Albuquerque, NM 87114.

Pallbearers for the service are Nichole Rogers, Brittany Dutton-Leyda, Desaree Baca, Emily Miller, Aaliyah Rogers, Kayla Dutton, Lillian Dutton. Honorary Pallbearer, Eaowyn Rodriquez escorted by Kayden and Elijah Rogers.
