Leticia Rinaldi Piro passed away on July 27, 2026, at the age of 82, in Phoenix, AZ. She was born in Santa Fe, NM on Sept. 17, 1943 to Philip and Mary Lou Rinaldi.

Leticia was known for loving her family (especially her grandchildren!) all things Elvis, as well as being a devoted fan of the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Leticia proudly served as a secretary for the Phoenix Fire Department for nearly 25 years. She was well known and much loved by the numerous fire fighters, fire chiefs and staff she worked along side over the years. After retirement, Leticia loved to spend her time volunteering at St. Vincent DePaul and Challenge Charter School where she served meals at both places.

Leticia was known for her generosity, strength and faith which will always be remembered by those who knew her.

Leticia is survived by her loving daughter, Caprice Amerine (Tom); and grandchildren, Philip Amerine, Misty Bajo (Kaylee), Beth Amerine and Kenzie Amerine; along with numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Leticia is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Rolando.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

There will be a graveside service at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 7999 Wyoming Blvd NE,

Albuquerque, NM, on Sept. 5th, 2026 at 10:00 am.

In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested reading book donations for Challenge Charter School, 5801 W. Greenbiar Dr., Glendale, AZ 85308 (k-6).
