Leda was born on Monday, September 16, 1974, in Provo, Utah. She passed away on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, from heart failure.
Mother of 3 children, Gene Domonic Anaya (29), Zeriah Marie Humelsine (20) and Xaleah Hope Humelsine (14) all of Albuquerque, NM. Leda is survived by her 3 children; mother, Cynthia White (Tsinnijinnie); stepfather, Larry Melvin White, from Duchesne, Utah; brothers, and sisters, Eddie and Rhonda Brewer, Jesse Billie, and Tiffany Billie; nieces and nephew: Jaiden Isiah and Anfernee Raymone Brewer, Zoey Slim Severance Billy, and Caitlyn Elizabeth Billie; her last love, Walter Ernest Brown; grandma, Evelyn Billy (Yazhe) from Naschi, New Mexico; and her best friend: Chester, her dog.
Leda is preceded by death by her father, George Billie Jr.; grandfather, George Billy Sr.; maternal grandparents: Freddie Tsinnijinnie Sr., Lilly Tsinnijinnie (Denetso); aunts and uncle: Glen and Carolyn Harris (Billy), Helen Cantrell (Tsinnijinnie), and Dennis Tsinnijinnie; cousins: Tikirus Tsinnijinnie, Gordon Evan Nelson, Jared Devin Nelson, and Jay Kevin Nelson; and her favorite dog, Shorty.
Leda received her associate degree in Calle Drafting Engineering from CNM in Albuquerque, NM. She worked for Insight Lighting, a leading manufacturer of high-performance commercial indoor/outdoor architectural lighting for energy design market. She was a graphic designer. While working there she designed the light fixture you now see in front of the Pit in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Her experience and motivation made her fit for any drafting or design position. She liked to utilize her skills in any company who was willing to take advantage of it. She said, "If you are willing to invest in me; I will prove to you that I'm detailed driven with excellent organization skills. I will ensure proper documentations are handled, investigate proposed ECO, research the effect, and coordinate proficiently. I'm capable of producing 3D models for interference check, organizing ECO packets, and I will notify the candidates involved of changes. I'm a productive person who's capable of meeting deadlines efficiently. I'm a good asset to any company and will ensure your production will streamline through the engineering process."
She was competent, prompt, and eager to learn new software programs and saw this as a positive challenge and a benefit for her.
She was a highly motivated person searching for a challenging profession to utilize her skills. She was able to work independently, under direction, or within a team setting while successfully managing multiple tasks. Her hobbies include camping, fishing, working out, ATM off roading, Pokemon hunting with Walter, her boyfriend and she loved the outdoor life.
Although Leda did not attend any church, she believed in a higher being (God).
Funeral Service for Leileda (Leda) Billie, 49, of Albuquerque NM will be held on Monday, October 2, 2023, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Later-Day Saints, 8030 Sage Road SW, Albuquerque, NM 87121. Viewing will be held from 9:30-10:30 a.m.
Following the viewing, her service will start at 10:30-11:30 a.m.
