Lawrence H. "Larry" Wagner

Lawrence H. "Larry" Wagner, 91, passed away on September 13, 2026, in Frisco, Texas.

Larry was born on October 9, 1934, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Lawrence H. and Ruth Wagner. He graduated from the University of New Mexico, where he earned both a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Science degree in Geology.

Larry loved his work as a geologist and took great pride in his career. His work took him to Houston, Texas; New Orleans, Louisiana; and Monahans, Texas before he settled in Midland, Texas, where he built a life and career for more than 50 years.

Larry was a devoted husband to his wife of 57 years, Catherine Wagner; and a loving father to four children, Karen and husband, Any Sealy of Frisco, Texas; Sherry Wagner of Frisco, Texas; Jennifer and husband, Greg Kroeger of Waxahachie, Texas; and Robert and wife, Emily Wagner of Corinth, Texas.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence H. and Ruth Wagner; his sisters, Anna May Olson and Marilyn Crawford; and his wife, Catherine Wagner.

He is survived by his four children and his five grandchildren, Alex, Elizabeth, Claire, John, and Kate.

Larry will be remembered with love for his devotion to family and friends, his passion for geology, his love of fishing, and his thoughtful and kind nature.

Funeral services will be Thursday, September 24, 2026, 10:00 a.m., at The Shrine of St. Bernadette, 11509 Indian School Rd. NE, followed by interment at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
