Lawrence Berger

February 3, 1961 — October 8, 2025

With deep sadness, we share the sudden and unexpected passing of Lawrence S. Berger (Larry), whose life was marked by love, laughter, and a profound loyalty to the people he cherished most. Larry was a devoted husband, son, brother, uncle, and friend whose warmth and humor touched the lives of everyone who knew him.

Larry shared a beautiful and loving marriage with his late wife, Lori Howell Berger, who passed several years before him. Their bond was filled with laughter, companionship, and a love that was truly genuine. Though their time together on earth was not long enough, we take comfort in knowing they are now reunited, continuing their journey side by side once again.

Larry was a man who lived with authenticity and heart. He cherished his family deeply, and nothing meant more to him than the people he loved. He was the kind of person who showed up whether it was for a celebration, a quiet moment, or simply to pick up the phone and listen. His steady presence and gentle spirit will be remembered always.

He loved his family wholeheartedly, cherished his cats, enjoyed cheering on his favorite teams, and found joy in shooting pool, a pastime he genuinely loved. His years at Purvis Industries and McDade-Woodcock, Inc. brought him meaningful work and lasting friendships, where his expertise and professionalism were well respected.

One of Larry's most memorable qualities was his sense of humor. He loved to laugh and enjoyed making others laugh with him. His jokes and quick wit could bring light into any room. His laughter was easy, genuine, one of a kind, and contagious. That joy he shared will live on in the smiles he leaves behind.

Larry is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lori Howell Berger, his father, Ret. Lt. Col. Lawrence (Larry) Wilton Berger, his mother, Lois Cecilia Berger, sister, Sheree Berger, and niece, Kristin Wyatt. He is survived by his sister, Connie Levy (husband Kevin), nieces, Danielle Gutierrez, Amy Dutailly (husband Thomas), Mandy Paulson (husband Will), and grand-nieces and nephew Danielle and David Wyatt, Alice Dutailly, and Aurora Paulson, along with extended family and cherished friends.

Larry's life was one of connection, of loving deeply, showing up fully, and appreciating the simple joys that make life meaningful. His memory will forever be a comfort, a reminder to live with heart, and to cherish those we love.
