Lawrence Harding, 58, beloved husband, son, brother, uncle and friend, passed away on

December 9th, 2025. He was born in Albuquerque, NM in 1967.

Lawrence is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Sonia Harding of Leander, TX, his mother

Loraine Harding of Albuquerque, NM, his father John Harding of Moriarty, NM, his brother Lee

Harding and wife Christy of Edgewood, NM, his brother Jd Harding and wife Isla of

Albuquerque, NM, his sister Danicia Tapia of Albuquerque, NM and his sister Antoinette Baca

and husband Kevin of Belen, NM, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and

one niece.

He was preceded in death by his brother Emmette Castillo.

Lawrence grew up in New Mexico and graduated from Moriarty High School in 1986.

After college, Lawrence returned to New Mexico and began a life long career in the

construction industry, which included working many years for Summit Construction in

Albuquerque and 18 years for Hensel Phelps where he worked as an Area Superintendent and

a Quality Control Manager. With Hensel Phelps, he worked on projects in Texas and Arizona

including Intel in Chandler, AZ, the Fort Bliss Expansion in El Paso, TX, the Austin Bergstrom

International Airport Expansion in Austin, TX, the Austin Central Public Library in Austin, TX,

Kalahari Resort and Convention Center in Round Rock, TX and the Apple Campus Expansion

in Austin, TX.

Lawrence excelled at numerous hobbies including archery, fly fishing and fly tying, building

custom cruiser bicycles, bass fishing in his kayak on the lake near his home in Leander, TX,

building bird calls and making personalized knives and leather cases for friends and family. He

was an incredibly gifted artist and a talented vocalist who was honored to perform as part of

the FFA National Choir in 1986.

In recent years Lawrence enjoyed taking cruise vacations with his wife Sonia and spending

time training and caring for their 2 year old dog Scout, who was the 7th dog he rescued

throughout the years.

Services will be held Monday, December 22nd at 10 am at French Funeral Home, 1111

University Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM.

Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
