Laurie Anderson, 67, beloved Sister, Daughter, and Aunt, was called to her eternal resting place on May 26, 2025. She entered this world on August 31, 1957 in Iowa City, IA, born to Robert and Ruth Anderson. She is survived by her sisters Kathryn Lynch and Lynda Malczewski (Michael), sister-in-law Michelle Anderson (Douglas Cardwell),nieces Stephanie Solomon (Alex), Victoria Zahr (Marc), nephews Kyle Anderson, Kasey Anderson (Alexandra), Karson Anderson, Daniel Baggio and Matthew Baggio.

Laurie was preceded in death by her father Robert Anderson, mother Ruth Anderson, and brother Kurt Anderson. Laurie will be interned at Sunset Memorial in Albuquerque, NM.

Notable interests, activities, hobbies, or passions: Laurie earned her bachelor's degree in Environmental Science at University of Nebraska/Omaha. Her love of gardening/landscaping led her to become a Horticultural Specialist. She loved outdoor activities such as cycling, hiking and running with her dogs. As an avid animal and nature lover, she became a wildlife photographer enthusiast, especially photographing butterflies. Her innate creativity enabled her to succeed in fashion and design. This creativity transferred into culinary skills where Laurie created her famous "Banana Bread".

Memorable moments and achievements: Laurie's sincere heartfelt love for her family and friends will always remain. Her generosity was unconditional and her witty sense of humor was a gift. Laurie had a special aura that would light up a room when she entered which will stay with us.
