Laurel Connor Gessel Flowers

May 14, 1978 — April 25, 2025

Albuquerque

Our superstar, Laurel Connor Gessel Flowers, unexpectedly returned to her heavenly home on Friday, April 25, 2025. Born in Provo, Utah, on May 14, 1978, to the late Kimbyl Bindrup Gessel and Penny Connor Gessel Humphreys, she proved to be an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. After spending her childhood in Utah with her family, she exchanged Mount Timpanogos for Sandia Peak in Albuquerque, New Mexico, living her later teen years with her Uncle Randy and Aunt Bonnie Gessel and cousins.

In 1995, Laurel met the Ozzie (Jimmy Flowers) to her Sharon, and together they rode that Crazy Train, marrying on April 12, 1996. Theirs was a marriage about which most people only dream. Two years later, while WWF Raw played on TV in the background, Jim and Laurel welcomed their own Kelly (Jessica Paige Flowers). Laurel loved motherhood so much a second child, Jack, (Brady James Robert Flowers) made his appearance three years later.

She never backed down from a challenge, giving her "all" to whatever role or responsibility came her way. She was focused, diligent, and always eager to learn something new. She had a keen mind and understanding for business. She loved crafting and creating things and was always ready to explore her next hobby.

Laurel loved traveling with her sweetheart, especially the past twelve years to various tropical resorts and beaches. She relished snorkeling, excursions, and reading novels on the beach.

One of her greatest joys was spending time with her grandsons, Oliver and Jameson Davis, lovingly known as Ollie Bug and Monkey. Being an empty nester was not her style, so to Jimmy's disbelief, she rescued Layla Moo, a Boston Terrier mix, who became her loyal bestie.

Laurel was welcomed to the spirit world by her father, Kimbyl, grandparents Brandt and Roma Nell Gessel and Marlin and Dorothy Connor, and mother-in-law Dolly Flowers.

Beloved Laurel leaves behind her devoted husband Jimmy Flowers, daughter and son-in-law Jessica and Colton Davis, grandchildren Oliver, Jameson, and baby girl Davis, her son Brady Flowers, her mother, Penny (Larry) Humphreys, her dad's twin Uncle Randyl (Debbie) Gessel, Aunt Bonnie, father-in-law Robert Flowers, sisters Jenni (Don) Adams, Suzanna (Ryan) Pitts, Calley Gessel, Kelly Flowers, brothers Chris (Anne) Gessel, Travis (Sonja) Flowers, and her many cherished nieces and nephews.

Grandson Ollie said it best, "Gigi is our beautiful angel." She is deeply loved and will be profoundly missed.
