With profound sadness, the family of Larry Minarsich announces his passing. Larry was a deeply loved husband, proud father and grandfather, trusted friend, respected professional, and a man whose energy and personality could light up any room. He lived fully, loved deeply, and dedicated his life to the people who meant the most to him.

Family was always at the center of Larry's world. He took immense pride in the lives and accomplishments of his children and grandchildren and found his greatest joy in simply being surrounded by those he loved. His sense of humor, generous heart, and ability to make others feel special are memories that will remain with his family forever.

Larry's determination and talent were evident from an early age. A standout baseball player, he was inducted into his high school Athletic Hall of Fame before continuing his athletic career at the University of New Mexico. There, he earned recognition as a First Team All-Western Athletic Conference athlete and a two-time First Team Academic All-American. Outside of sports, Larry enjoyed golfing, fly fishing, and embracing every opportunity for adventure and connection.

In his professional life, Larry became widely known and respected for his work in estate planning. His honesty, knowledge, and dedication earned the trust of clients and colleagues throughout the community. He served as past president of the New Mexico chapter of the Chartered Life Underwriter and believed strongly in giving back through service. Larry proudly served on the boards of the American Cancer Society and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, while also supporting the Charley Pride Golf Tournament.

Among Larry's many adventures was earning his private pilot license, an achievement he took great pride in. Flying his plane for seven years brought him tremendous joy and reflected his adventurous spirit and love of new experiences

Larry is survived by his loving wife, Joy; his beautiful children Jennifer Minarsich-Noble and husband Michael Noble, Jessica Hill and husband Bryan Hill, Joey Minarsich and wife Kijrstin Minarsich, Kaydence Minarsich, Justin Hancock and wife Jamie Hancock, and Jesse Hancock. He was also a proud and loving grandfather (Papa) to Mia Hill, Sofia Hill, Sonja Minarsich, Ari Noble, Levi Hancock, Charlotte Hancock, and Lucas Hancock. His brother David Minarsich and his nephew Danny Minarsich.

Larry will be remembered not only for his accomplishments, but for the way he made people feel - welcomed, valued, supported, and loved. His legacy will continue through the family he cherished and the countless lives he impacted along the way.

A celebration of Larry's life will be announced at a future date, when family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by him will come together to share stories, laughter, and memories in honor of the extraordinary man he was and the lasting impact he made on so many hearts.
