Kent Turner, age 74, a loving husband, a beloved brother, and favorite uncle passed asway on Friday, July 24, 2020. Kent was known as an avid football fan, a fiercely loyal gun advocate, and a proud defender of the American flag. He supported many charities including the local homeless center and animal rescue centers.
Kent was a Vietnam era war veteran and was a strong supporter of the military. He is survived by his wife, Jennie; his sisters, Roxie and Kim. He also leaves many cherished brothers/sisters-in-law, cousins, nephews, and nieces. Kent was preceded in death by his mother, Celest Turner; his father, Harold Ossenkop; and his adopted father, Robert Turner.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Kent’s memorial service has been delayed until a time when his family can be present to celebrate his life. A tentative date has been set for July 26, 2021. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery where he will be laid to rest with military honors.
