Kenneth "Kenny" James Madrid, age 64, a resident of Albuquerque, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, November 18, 2024. He was surrounded by family and friends.
Kenny served in the US Armed Forces, 82nd Airborne and worked for the US Postal Service and retired after 33+ years.
Kenny loved his family and his faith. He had a passion for riding his Harley but his strongest passion was his love for his country. He took pride in serving with the 82nd Airborne. Kenny had a close relationship with his mother, Martha Madrid. He spent a lot of his time taking her many places and seeing to her care as she got older. Kenny was also in a long-time relationship with his fiancé Genevieve Arredondo, including her son Mario. Kenny's love for her son was pure and kind. Kenny kept in contact with many close friends and family in Santa Fe where he grew up. Kenny accepted his diagnosis with such grace. God was with us at his final moments and we felt his presence. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and because of this, he wasn't afraid to die.
Kenny was preceded in death by his father, Solomon Madrid, grandmother (Nana) Romualda Madrid, grandparents, Bert and Stella CdeBaca, and niece, Brittany Madrid. He is survived by brothers, Steven Madrid (Theresa) and Michael Madrid; sister, Sandra Romero (Andy), nieces Jessica Madrid, Brenda Gonzales, Francine Madrid and Brandi Madrid-Bush: nephews, Christopher and Daniel White.
