Keith Suazo, 63, surrounded by his loving family, passed away at his home on August 29, 2025, after a long and hard-fought battle with cancer. Keith was born on July 13, 1962, to Victor and Caroline Suazo in Albuquerque, NM.
After graduating from Highland High School in 1980, he earned a degree in education. His teaching career spanned 28 years, during which he worked at Dolores Gonzales Elementary, La Mesa Elementary, and concluded at Grant Middle School, where he played a key role in revamping the math program. Keith's dedication, compassion, and influence left a lasting impact on his students and the school community. Keith, your calling went beyond the classroom, shaping children's characters and guiding their paths. You made a positive difference in this life.
Keith was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Caroline Suazo. He is survived by his loving wife, Jeanette, of 31 years; their two children, Victoria and Ryan - the joys of his life; as well as Jesus, a supportive and loving partner to Victoria. He is also survived by his brother, Lawrence Suazo, and his wife, Sandra; Gene and Geraldine Baca (parents-in-law); sisters-in-law, Antoinette (Joe), Suzanne (Pete), Dianne (Mel), and Pam (Brandon); brother-in-law, Geno; and numerous nieces and nephews.
We invite family and friends to join us in celebrating Keith's life. The family will host a service on Thursday, September 11, 2025, beginning with visitation at 11:00 a.m. followed by the service at 12:00 p.m., at FRENCH - Lomas. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE.
He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and a talented athlete in football and baseball. He enjoyed trips to the horse races and loved watching professional and college sports. He was a movie buff and loved to debate anyone, anytime, on anything! Words cannot express how much Keith will be missed. Thank you, husband, dad, brother, uncle, friend, and teacher, for the wonderful memories you gave us. Rest in peace with our Lord Jesus Christ. We love you always!
