Katrina Linnet Blea

June 27, 1962 - May 20, 2026

Katrina L. Blea, 63, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed peacefully from home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, surrounded by her family and friends.

She was a faithful member and pianist and bookkeeper of Promise Community Church. Katrina will be remembered for serving her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, sharing His message and fellowship with her church family. She loved to read her bible and notated scripture as she did, as daily reminders for herself. Her love was for her church family where she served faithfully, even during her hardest days.

Born in Amarillo, Texas on June 27, 1962, she was the daughter of Joe and Domy Blea of Tucumcari, New Mexico.

She graduated from Tucumcari High School in 1980 and went on to graduate from Eastern New Mexico University in 1985 with a Bachelor’s degree in Business, and later received her Master’s Degree in Business Administration. She pursued a career with UPS and worked as a Marketing Agent until she retired.

She loved both her nephews, her great niece and great nephew whom she was proud of. She loved and spoiled her two dogs, GiGi and Raider. Besides her gift of playing the piano, she enjoyed reading and learned to make jewelry, and crochet, among other things. She was never afraid to try something new.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Domy Blea and by her sister, Sylvia Blea and is survived by her brother, Joseph Blea and wife Veronica, her nephews, Steven Blea, Kevin Blea and wife Leah, great

niece, Madison Blea and great nephew, Benjamin Blea, Aunt Christine Otero and husband Nano and family, her two fur babies, GiGi and Raider, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins and several very close and dear friends.

A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2026 at 9:00 am at French’s Funeral Home at 9300 Golf Course Rd NW in Albuquerque, New Mexico, interment immediately following services will be held at Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pall Bearers are: Steven Blea, Kevin Blea, Leah Blea, Madison Blea, Robert Benavidez and Honorary Pall Bearer, Benjamin Blea.
