Hallelujah
Praise the Lord
Katherine Edgar was totally and completely healed on July 2nd of her Cushing’s Syndrome and heart problems when the One who created her took her from her bed where she’s been for the past 7 months and in an instant she was walking, dancing, jumping and embracing her Savior, her Mom, Sister and Brother and all her other relatives that went before.
Kathy was born in November of 1954 in Clarksburg WV, living there for about a year before her dad was transferred to Albuquerque.
She is survived by her Son, Justin and his wife Danette. Their children, Jedediah, Blakely, Jadyn, Judson and Deacon.
Her Daughter, Shawna and her husband, John. Their children Tristan Karissa, her husband Tyler and their kids Grace, Jack and Henry.
Her husband of 53 years, William. Plus relatives and friends too numerous to count.
Although we all miss her deeply we can take solace that she is more alive right now then she ever was and that we will all be reunited when God Almighty decides he wants us back also.
Kathy was blessed with a special love for children. She was patient, kind and forgiving. All the kids in the neighborhood wanted to come to our house to play. And they did. The house was always filled with children so she decided to start a day care in the house. It started with one and quickly by word of mouth grew to 16 at the highest although some were not fulltime. I think we had 12 most of the time.
She was enamored by the “awe” of children. How they grew and learned. She was such a positive influence on all the kids. One thing for sure, they all knew about Jesus and Heaven and all the hero’s of the Bible. They have since all grown up and have families of their own. These kids were in our lives for 10 or so years, teaching us a thing or two until the city caught up with us and closed us down with all their regulations. Not that there’s a bad thing about regulations but we in all those years we didn’t lose one.
She was a tremendous blessing to all our family. She loved games and Holidays and went all out to make sure it was all fun. She was funny and dyslexic with all her Kathyisms (like Fire Hydogen).
A Celebration of Kathy’s Life will be held on July 20th at 10:30am at City Pres on the corner of Copper and Truman. Just off one on those San streets (Kathyism). 210 Truman St NE , Albuquerque, NM, 87108.
Thanks to all the Doctors, Nurses and Attendants at UNMH and Lovelace Medical Group for all there help and care. Especially Dr. Ivan Pinon at UNM Comprehensive Cancer Center and to City Pres for the use of their facility and their truly helpful staff.
