Julia Rita "Liz" Webb age 87, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, April 21, 2026. She was born in Swastika, NM (name later changed to Brilliant, NM) to Amada (Emma) and Secundino Moreno, Sr (Cunie) on May 22, 1938. She was the second oldest of ten children. She was married to Jerry B. Webb for 60 years before he passed away in 2022. She is survived by her two daughters, Debra Webb-Moyle and husband Jim, and Amada Callender and husband Nate; grandchildren James Moyle (Rebekah), Jerry Moyle, Cody Callender, Aubreigh Arenas (Reno); great grandchildren Rowen Moyle, Adriel Arenas, Elias Arenas, Noelle Arenas; sister, Eleanor Harper of Albuquerque; sister, Mary Salazar of Albuquerque; sister, Robben Hewitt of Northport, AL; brother, John Moreno of Albuquerque; brother, Jim Moreno (Lydia) of Rio Rancho, NM; sister, Lori Maestas (Mario) of Raton, NM; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, oldest sister Angelina Moreno, younger brother Secundino Moreno Jr. (Dino or Bolo), younger brother Feliciano Moreno (Felix) and half-sister Juanita Martin.
Liz graduated from Raton High School in 1955 and later moved to Albuquerque to work at Mountain States Telephone Company in 1958. She met her husband Jerry at the NCO club in 1961, and this is where their dancing love affair began. They married in November of 1962. Liz accompanied her husband on his various deployments, traveling to the places his service required; finally settling in Albuquerque. She retired at age of 75 in 2014 from the Social Security Administration after forty years of service.
In her retirement, Liz and Jerry enjoyed hosting cookouts, spending time with family and traveling in their fifth wheel. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at FRENCH- Lomas at 10:00 am with a Reception to follow.
