Judith Ann Plamondon

Judith was born in Fall River, MA on Friday, January 17, 1947, to Raul Fernandes and Hilda Souza Fernandes.

She is survived by her loving partner of over 20 years Ismael Vasquez, and her two sons, Robert and Steven Plamondon, her brother, Michael Fernandes, goddaughter, Lisa Ann Evitts, sister-in-law, several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased in death by her parents, her brother, Raul Fernandes, her uncle, John Souza, and aunt Lorraine.

Judith graduated from Durfee High School in Fall River, MA in 1965. She worked at the Newport Naval Base in RI for many years and opened an arts and crafts shop in Fall River. She and her family moved to Albuquerque, NM where she worked as an Accountant at Bob Turners Ford, and various other jobs as a casino cashier, and bartender at the Club House where she met her love “Milo”.

Upon retirement Judy loved to play at the casinos in Albuquerque and spend time with Milo and her family. Judy especially loved visits with her brother Michael and had been taking amazing care of her son Robert until her final day.

She was an excellent cook and made family favorite dishes, such as homemade spaghetti and meatballs, clam chowder, and Portuguese chourico and shells.

She was sick for many years and was so strong throughout many challenges. Judy was truly adored and will be sadly missed.

Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to FRENCH Funerals & Cremation – Westside.  Private burial will take place at Notre Dame Cemetery & Mausoleum in Fall River, MA.
