Judy Ann Geier

 Judy Ann Geier, age 71, went to be with our Lord peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, as the sun rose on Sunday morning, October 13, 2024 after a beautifully lived life. Her resilience and strong will to live, unwavering faith in God, and the love and prayers of family, friends, and many supporters carried her through a decades long battle with Scleroderma. A bright sun rose over the mountains and the clouds parted and glowed that morning as Judy left this earth to go home as she shed a tear with a smile on her face. 

Judy was born on August 18,1953 and raised in Chicago, Illinois. She graduated from Northern Illinois University in ‘74 with a degree in special education. It was here she met her husband, Michael. They married shortly after college and just celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary this year. She taught in the Chicago Public School systems for years before retiring. She was so proud to become a mother to Michael Jude and Jennifer. The family left Illinois in 1994 in search of a warmer, drier climate. This brought them to Albuquerque, NM where she spent the next 30 years raising her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her husband Michael, children: Michael Jude and Jennifer, son-in-law Jordon, grandchildren: Carson and Lily, her siblings: Janet, Chuck, and Evelyn, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, and many more extended family and friends. 

As a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Judy embodied the best of qualities: unconditional love, strength of spirit, humor, and an unending generosity that could be seen in her care for her family and friends. We have peace knowing she is now perfect, without any pain or suffering and she is finally warm. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her. 

There will be a memorial service held for Judy on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at the FRENCH Wyoming chapel Located at 7121 Wyoming Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109 at 2:30 pm with a reception to follow at 3:45 pm. Mass will be held at Our Lady of the Annunciation Parish located at 2621 Vermont Street NE, Albuquerque, NM, 87110 at 10:00 am.
