Joseph ""Slo Joe"" Sanchez
December 3, 1952 — June 14, 2016
Joseph "Slo-Joe" Sanchez, 63, went home to be with our Lord and Savior on Tuesday, June 14, 2016. He was surrounded by his loving family. Joe was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Mike "Babe" and Antonia Sanchez.
He is survived by his children, Charis Lozano and husband Eric, Angelo Sanchez, Rachel Sanchez and Keith Knighton; step-daughter, Jenny Pennington-Wilson; 15 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two brothers, Bobby Sanchez and Mike Sanchez and step-sister, Kathy McLendon. Joe is preceded in death by his wife, Pam Sanchez, and his parents.
He will be greatly missed by numerous relatives, friends, the community of Bernalillo, the motorcycle community and all who knew and loved him. Joe was a proud Veteran of the United States Army, a devote Catholic and a true man of God.
A Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 22, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., followed by a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 301 S. Camino Del Pueblo, Bernalillo, NM 87004. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, June 23, 2016 at 10:00 a.m., also at Our Lady of Sorrows Church. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Sorrows Cemetery.
