Joe was an excellent cook and enjoyed being the host to many get-togethers. He fell in love and married Rebecca Statler in April 2008. They became official "snowbirds" when they bought a home in San Tan Valley, AZ, and would spend warm winters for one-half of the year there and the other half fishing and golfing at their home in Pagosa Springs, CO. Joe and Becky loved to travel, golf, and play poker with their friends in AZ.
