Joseph Phelan

Joseph Robert Phelan, a forever loving, kind, and gentle soul, passed away on January 29, 2024, in his hometown of Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Joseph was born on June 19, 1931 in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Dr. John and Hellene Phelan.

Joseph is survived by his wife of 61 years Suzanne, his daughter Margaret Armijo and her husband John, son Kevin Phelan and his wife Debbie Rochford, daughter Kathleen Phelan, grandchildren Peter, Callum, and Marie Armijo, Garrett and Connor Phelan, Evan, Ryan, and Logan Rochford, Ryan and Aidan Stebbins, and brother James Phelan.

He is preceded in death by brother Dr. John (Jack) F. Phelan, and sisters Patricia Laney and Mary Teresa Phelan.

A rosary will be recited on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at 9:30 am at FRENCH-Wyoming, followed by a Memorial Service at 10:00 am. A reception will follow at Gruet Winery 8400 Pan American Fwy NE 87113 at 12:00 pm.
