Joseph Charles Demijohn Jr. passed away on March 12, 2026, while surrounded by family. He battled Parkinson's disease for over 20 years. Joe was born on January 4, 1944 in Saginaw, Michigan to Joseph and Gertrude Demijohn.

Joe attended Central Michigan University, where he played both football and basketball. He graduated in 1972 with an MBA in marketing. In 1987, Joe married the love of his life, Christine Montgomery, and they shared 38 happy years together. Joe loved biking, hiking, camping, snowboarding, and reading. Joe was talented in home improvement projects and spent many happy days working on the family cabin in Ruidoso, NM.

Surviving family members include: Dan Demijohn (brother), Ann Murray (daughter) and her husband Scott, Joseph Demijohn III (son) and his wife Kathy, Eddie Erickson (stepson), Hollie Roerick (stepdaughter) and her husband Gabe, Alex Roerick (grandson) and his wife Anna, and their children RaeAnn, Mark, and YouJay, Christine Spears (granddaughter) and her husband Brady, and their baby Hollie, Abigail Murray (granddaughter) and Ryan Murray (grandson). Joe was preceded in death by his parents and Scott Erickson (stepson) and Scott's wife Lori.

Joe was a kind and gentle soul, who will be deeply missed by many. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026, 10:30 AM at Hope in the Desert Episcopal Church. The address is 8700 Alameda Blvd NE Albuquerque, NM 87122.
