August 6, 1966 — July 27, 2017
Jose (Marty) Serda, 50, passed away on July 27, 2017, in Albuquerque, NM, after a brief illness. He is survived by his mother, Irene Stewart, three brothers, four sisters and various nieces and nephews. Marty, as he was known to his family and friends, was a beloved son and brother. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him including “Troy,” his beloved pet. Marty, who loved the ocean, traveled the world in his long career as a merchant marine.
A Rosary will be held Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at 10:15 a.m., followed by a Mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, 5712 Paradise Blvd. NW, Albuquerque, NM. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM.
