Johnny Ray Salazar a lifetime resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family May 21, 2026. He is survived by his wife Josephine, daughter Loralee, son Johnny Ray (Veronica), eight grandchildren, and fourteen great grandchildren. He was a proud U.S. Army Veteran who served during the Vietnam era.

A man of many talents and passions Johnny Ray found joy in creating stained glass, painting, tin work and tending to his garden. Through his creativity and kindness, he left a lasting impression on everyone he knew.

He will be remembered for his laughter, loving heart, gentle spirit, and unwavering devotion to his family. Though deeply missed his memory will live on in the stories shared the music he played and the love he gave so freely.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 3, 2026 - French Funerals Lomas Chapel at 10:30 with celebration of life at 11:00am. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 3, 2026 - Santa Fe National Cemetery at 2:45pm.
