In Loving Memory of Our Beloved Father
Johnny D. Abeyta 86 (December 31, 1938-May 5, 2025)
With heavy hearts and profound love, we announce the passing of our beloved father Johnny Abeyta. To say he was cherished is an understatement-he was the heart of our family, a guiding light whose love, wisdom, and laughter shaped our lives.
We were truly blessed to grow up surrounded by his kindness, compassion, and unwavering support. He was more than a father, he was our mentor, our storyteller, and our friend. His passion for life was contagious, and his belief in the value of every person inspired all who knew him. He shared his love of history and pottery not just as hobbies, but as expressions of his curious spirit and creative soul. His hands not only shaped beautiful works of art but also left an indelible mark on the lives he touched.
To know him was to be inspired by his integrity and dedication. He encouraged us to be our best selves, to appreciate the richness of the world around us, and to give freely of our hearts. His presence lifted others, and his spirit will continue to guide us even in his absence.
His journey was shaped by the love passed down to him, and his own love continues to shape us. Though his beloved wife Patrica Anna Abeyta, daughter Maria Abeyta, and his parents Pricilla and Louie Abeyta preceded him in death, his legacy endures through his surviving daughters Elizabeth Abeyta-Murry and Tanya Nash, their husbands Sidney Murry and Carl Nash, his granddaughter Kira Johnson and her husband RJ Johnson III, as well as Michelle Foley, Michael Murry and his sister Linda Rentz. We hold close memories and are forever grateful for the gift of his life-a life that inspired, uplifted, and was deeply loved.
