John Patrick Leonard

John Patrick Leonard, age 79, died at home with his family on Monday, July 27, 2020. John was born December 16, 1940 in New York City to Patrick and Edith Leonard of Ireland. John was predeceased by his wife of 40 years, Danielle, and their daughter, Maureen. He is survived by his sister, Mary; his son, Patrick along with his wife, Ivette; their daughter, Kimberley and her son, Cameron; son, Brian Leonard and his daughter, Samantha and son Brian; and son, John along with his wife Sarah, and their daughters, Audrey and Catherine.

John served in the US Marines Corp from 1960 to 1964. He was also a 20-year veteran of the New York Police Department, and a 20-year veteran of the US Postal Service. For those who knew John, they found him to be selfless, filled with his own brand of humor, and along with his wife, a lover of books, a passion they each passed on to their children.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at 3:00 p.m., FRENCH – Wyoming. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project https://support.woundedwarriorproject.org/default.
