Mark Holland

John Mark Holland, died at 74 years on August 10, 2026, at his home in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Born 09/29/1951 in Sterling Illinois to parents J.P. and Joy Holland. Mark joined the Air Force after graduating from Sterling Township High School in 1969 where he served four years during Vietnam. He then went on to graduate from Western Illinois University with a Bachelors degree in Accounting. Later in life, he completed his Master's from the Robert O. Anderson School of Business, University of New Mexico.

Mark moved to New Mexico in 1978. He was employed by Pete Marwick Mitchell, The Gas Company of New Mexico, and PNM. He then went on to own his own business, Allegiance Staffing for over twenty years. He retired at 65.

Mark met the love of his life, Bonnie Ann Chesley in 1981, and married in 1983. They had two children, Max Bradley Webb and Sarah Jean Holland.

Mark will be remembered for his sense of humor, quick wit, intelligence, and patriotism. He loved hunting with his buddies and all things outdoors. He was the king of the grill, and always cooked steaks to perfection. He was the comedian of the family; wherever he went, there was laughter.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Ann Holland, his two children, Sarah Jean Holland , Max Bradley Webb and his husband Devin Sawyers, and his sibling, Sharon Joy Holland and her husband, David Britt.

The funeral services will be held Wednesday August 19,2026 at French's Funeral on Wyoming. Visitation will be at 10am, and the funeral at 11am. Graveside services will follow at 2:45pm at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
